It was always going to be a tough ask for Guernsey's cricketers to make the T20 World cup, the lowest rank side in the five team round robin competition with only two places at the pinnacle of the twenty over game.

The opposition of Italy, Netherlands, Jersey, and Scotland all had at least some professionals amongst their ranks - Guernsey doesn't.

But the islanders gave a good account of themselves despite not picking up a win and finishing bottom with one point.
