Why is Stourport's canal so green?

Duckweed is one of the world's fastest growing plants, and has covered the waterways of the Worcestershire riverside town, so much so that animals (and people) are confusing the green water top for walkable grass.

Residents of Stourport tell our reporter Bethany Gwilliam how they've never seen the canal go so green during their lifetimes, whilst Tom Wilding from the Canal & Rivers Trust explains how the extreme weather conditions have played a part in the explosion of green, which potentially arrived from canals in Birmingham.
