Salvation Army co-founder honoured in Clacton
A blue plaque honouring the life of the Catherine Booth, a co-founder of The Salvation Army, has been unveiled on her former home in Clacton.
Booth created the movement with her husband William in 1865. She spent the last couple of years of her life in the Essex resort and passed away in a house on Marine Parade.
