Telford's Voice UK star finally has his own band
Callum Doignie is the builder who stole our hearts, reaching the final of the ITV talent show in 2023. He has since sung with Teddy Swims and for Spudman's wedding.
He was the builder from Telford who melted our hearts, storming his way to the final of The Voice UK.
Fast forward from the telly shows in December 2023, now we're at the moment we've all been waiting for. Not only has Callum Doignie joined a band, he's got original music of his own, with his band The Pookies.
He hasn't put a microphone down since being part of primetime TV. He's definitely earned it.
People kept doubting him: It was only when his brother sent a video of Callum doing karaoke to the bosses at ITV, that the first of an incredible series of dominoes fell.
In a whirlwind eighteen months, he's been mentored by Sir Tom Jones, performed sell-out shows all over, played social media stars' weddings and even sang with Teddy Swims.
He's been telling ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Shropshire's Paul Shuttleworth how the band is officially strapped in for the ride, with already multiple singles under their belts.
Callum & The Pookies were crowned Featured Artist on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Shropshire in July 2025.
