The Bosley Mill fire - “It was total devastation”
Philip Grimwood worked at the mill, and thinks back to the day of the blast ten years on.
July 17th 2025 marks 10 years since the devastating explosion happened at Bosley Mill, near Congleton. The explosion at the wood flour mill claimed the lives of four people - Derek Moore, Dorothy Bailey, Jason Shingler and Derek William Barks. The owner of the mill was given a 9-month suspended prison sentence, and was fined £12,000.
