Grace Ofori-Attah, Screenwriter
Screenwriter Grace Ofori-Attah shares her London loves and loathes with Robert Elms.
Grace Ofori-Attah is a psychiatrist turned screenwriter.
Grace’s unusual career trajectory began with medical degrees at Oxford and Cambridge, after which she became a consultant psychiatrist in Camden and Islington.
Whilst at university she’d begun writing short stories, but with the demands of studying - and later full-time doctoring - she never quite managed to finish a project so decided to do an about-turn and become a writer proper.
Her first drama series was - appropriately - a medical thriller called Malpractice which aired on ITV, and she subsequently worked on the critically acclaimed Boiling Point. This year she’s turned her hand to a psychological thriller called Playing Nice, also on ITV.
Grace Ofori-Attah reveals her favourite haunts, memories, pet hates and everything in between with Robert Elms.
