Teen vote: desperation or democracy?

5 Live listeners have their say with Nicky Campbell

Longer synopsis: The government will bring in a law lowering the voting age from 18 to 16 for the next general election in the biggest change since 1969 when the voting age was reduced from 21 to 18. The pledge was part of Labour’s manifesto but the Conservatives question why someone who isn’t old enough to buy a lottery ticket should be allowed to vote.
