Rise in homeless refugees in Derby
The number of homeless refugees in Derby rose from 16 in 2023 to 161 in 2024. Gillian Scothern's a volunteer at Upbeat Communities and takes refugees into her home. She's been speaking to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Derby's Becky Measures.
The city council says refugees can't be prioritised over Derby's most vulnerable residents for social housing.
