‘There’s a massive empty space where my son should be’
Rebecca Hinde lost her 8-year-old son, Worcestershire schoolboy Joshua Hillstead, to drowning in the River Arrow at Alvechurch in July 2024.
She tells Tom Edwards how she's on a mission to make sure no parents go through what she went through, with the launch of a charity in her son's honour.
The Joshua Hillstead Foundation fights for wider water safety awareness, and has joined with the Royal Life Saving Society UK with a visit to Westminster.
