'Nine children in every classroom live in poverty.'
Clothing Coventry provided 2000 children in the city with free school uniform in 2024 - this year, they're predicting it will grow to 2500-3000 children.
Government data reveals that families are forking out around 拢315 for primary and 拢442 for secondary school uniform each year.
According to Action for Children, 9 children in every classroom is living in poverty. 16% of secondary pupils have missed time off school because they didn't have something suitable to wear.
