TV producer Patrick Spence shares his London loves and loathes with Robert Elms.
Patrick Spence is a BAFTA and RTS award winning television producer.
He started his working life in advertising, but in his own words, it 鈥榢illed [his] soul鈥�. So he entered the world of TV production, initially as a runner on the set of an advert, eventually working his way up to the very top of the industry. Until recently he was the Creative Director of ITV Studios.
His career has chiefly consisted of producing factual dramas. He鈥檚 probably best known for the BAFTA winning series Mr Bates vs The Post Office.
