Warrington’s Runner Who Refused to Quit
In 2020, Chris Smith from Warrington was told he might never run again after being struck by double pneumonia and sepsis. But defying all medical expectations, Chris embarked on an incredible journey—running along every single street, road, avenue, and crescent in his hometown.
Over the course of 70 days, Chris covered an astonishing 368 miles, took 1.2 million steps, and documented his progress with over 90 hours of footage across 2,927 streets.
ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Merseyside’s Tom Walker caught up with Chris at a gym in Warrington to hear more about the journey that’s inspired a community—and beyond.
