New Wave of Creativity at Fort Perch Rock
Created by local artists Angela Stringer and Nicky Perrin, the installation features eight hand-painted flags, each capturing tales of mermaids, smugglers, Morse code messages, and even an underground wartime munitions factory operated by women.
Running until September 14th 2025, the installation forms part of the Independents Biennial 2025, and also includes a selection of smaller works on display inside the Fort’s Mess Café, open daily.
Whether you’re a history buff, an art lover, or a fan of folklore, this powerful display offers a new way to connect with the Wirral’s past — all against the stunning backdrop of the sea.
