The Essex nurse 'saved' by farming

Chloe Lucas experienced a mental health breakdown during the Covid-19 pandemic.

A paediatric nurse who suffered a nervous breakdown during the Covid-190 pandemic says taking on ownership of a small herd of Highland cows "saved her".

Chloe Lucas worked as a sister nurse at Basildon Hospital in Essex, but the trauma she witnessed meant she was signed off for three months.

It was during her recovery, that Chloe took an interest in farming, and has now been nominated for a farm worker of the year award.
