It will now cost families 拢2,700 if they need to buy a 6ft wide plot, a 20% increase on the cost of a standard 5ft grave.

Wolverhampton City Council says it鈥檚 simply responding to demand for larger graves in an area where obesity levels are higher than the national average, but the move has been condemned by some funeral directors and people who live there.
