Leon Daniels, Transport Boss
Former TfL boss Leon Daniels shares his London loves and loathes with Robert Elms.
There aren’t many who know more about buses than Leon Daniels OBE. From 2011 to 2017 he was the Managing Director of ‘Surface Transport’ at Transport for London, where he had responsibility for everything except the tube.
He worked with two London Mayors, and was responsible for the successful delivery of transport during what was labelled the ‘most successful public transport games ever’ in London 2012.
After retiring for TfL he became an international transport advisor and maintains many titles. He’s a patron of the London Transport Museum and Chairman of Thames Clippers. He’s also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Transport, an Honorary Fellow of the Institute of Couriers, and a Member of the Court of the Worshipful Company of Carmen.
Leon Daniels reveals his favourite haunts, memories, pet hates and everything in between with Robert Elms.
