Writer Nick Hornby shares his views and memories about London with Robert Elms.
Nick Hornby born in 1957 in Surrey. His dad, Sir Derek Hornby, was the chairman of London and Continental Railways. Before becoming a novelist, he worked as a secondary-school English teacher.
Nick is best known for his 1992 memoir Fever Pitch - which chronicled his stormy relationship with Arsenal - as well as the novels High Fidelity and About a Boy, all of which were adapted into feature films.
His work frequently touches on music, sport, and the aimless and obsessive natures of his protagonists. To date he鈥檚 penned nine novels, nine non-fictions titles, and four screenplays.
