The crazy world of Christopher Bliss
His comedy creator says 'everyone needs a complete idiot in their lives', to find the joy in pretending to be someone else, which adds an 'addictive drug' to live performances.
Actor Rob Carter, from Sussex, tells Nina about how the as-seen-on-TV creation came about, with Christopher Bliss' now iconic bright blue jacket and combed back hair having made appearances on programmes such as 8 Out Of 10 Cats does Countdown.
Rob shares how he created a soap opera 'made by' Christopher Bliss, a character whose perfect idea for a novel is having a large 'about the author' section. Bangmouth Village is set in a nondescript Shropshire village, in a tribute to an old teacher of Rob's, who created a fascination for this most rural part of the country.
