Protests in Worcester cause 'standstill'
Hundreds of people gathered outside the Fownes Hotel, in a demonstration of two sides.
On one side of the City Walls Road was a group of people, many holding St George's flags, saying they wanted an end to hotels being used to house asylum seekers.
On the other, anti-racism campaigners held signs saying 'refugees welcome'.
Felicity Kvesic reports, hearing from Inspector Andy Hodgetts from South Worcester Police, and protestors on both sides.
West Mercia Police described the event as a 'peaceful protest', but confirmed a 38-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.
