The DJ bringing back bassline
Redditch producer Denon Reed has hit the charts and played to thousands at massive shows. He set up his own brand, Cru2, which has spawned events at 5,000 capacity venues, and will run a weekend of dance music in Tenerife in 2026.
The 23-year-old has been at the forefront of pushing the genre back in to the mainstream, with his tracks hitting the charts for 16 weeks already in 2025, including a debut top 40 single with Let Him Go.
He tells Phillip Stoneman how he's even collaborated with the original bassline junkie, Dizzee Rascal, who jumped on a remix of his single Need To Know.
Denon Reed has been supported by ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Hereford & Worcester and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Introducing, including a live performance at St Swithun's Church in Worcester, countless radio plays, and securing airplay on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 1 and ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio 1Xtra.
