Parking charge increase proposed at Sheldon Park
The deadline for people to respond to a consultation about plans to introduce parking charges at three popular parks in the West Midlands closes on Friday 29th August.
Under the proposals, charges of £1 per hour will be introduced at Sutton Park and Lickey Hills Country Park, while visitors to Sheldon Country Park will pay 75p an hour.
Birmingham City Council say the charges will bring the city in line with other areas of the UK and help towards the cost of maintaining the parks.
Sarah Julian hears reactions to the proposals and talks to Martin Price, Chair of Better Streets for Birmingham.
