Lincolnshire bat bridge sparks £4.3m row
Barbastelle bats found near Lincoln spark fury as the council faces costs of £4.3m for a bat bridge and tunnel on the North Hykeham Relief Road project. Natural England say: "Natural England was not consulted on bat mitigation for the North Hykeham Relief Road and, as such, we did not require, 'demand' or design the bat 'culvert' and 'bridge' mitigation.
