Rediscovering the eccentric world of the 1980s 'Blitz Kids'

The Blitz club in Covent Garden shaped the fashion, music and pop culture of the decade.

At the turn of the 80s, it was the regular hangout for the likes of Spandau Ballet, Boy George and Gary Numan - before they were famous.

The Blitz club in Covent Garden helped shape the fashion, the music, and the pop culture of the decade - and now the venue's being celebrated in a exhibition at the Design Museum in Kensington.

The ѿý's Entertainment Correspondent Colin Paterson has gone to the exhibition and spoken to some of the people who were there.

Blitz: the club that shaped the 80s” opens at the Design Museum in London and is open from September 2025 to March 2026.
