The new renter's rights bill is due to become law in the coming weeks - and is set to be one of the biggest ever overhauls to the private rental sector.

The government says the bill is about levelling the playing field by giving tennants better security, rights and protections in their homes.

So what exactly will this bill change for renters? And why are some landlords saying that the bill is making them consider selling their properties?
