Alex Sharphouse had a dream to build from a scratch a Fowler B6 Big Lion Road Locomotive. Not only did he do it, but he became the first person to construct a traction engine from the ground up in the twenty first century. First bitten by the steam bug as a teenager, this is a man who now counts rivets in his sleep. Andrew Carter went along to his workshop, to see Talisman, the 20 ton 'King of Road', in all its glory.
