Bob Cooley shares his favourite parts of London with Robert Elms.
Bob Cooley was 16 when he started working at Old Covent Garden Flower market back in 1971. Three years later he was part of the team that made the move to Nine Elms where he worked until the end of 2024.
He says, 鈥渨hat I鈥檝e learned from my time in the Market is that if you work hard, you can make money and if you鈥檙e really lucky you can even find love. But time is only allotted and now it鈥檚 my time!鈥�
Now retired, Bob hopes to spend his time split between keeping fit, seeing his grandkids, his hobby of astronomy - and hopefully fulfilling a long held dream of completing a skydive.
