Nieve Ella: Influencing the next generation
The Shropshire-born rock star says she adores how new artists cite her as an inspiration to their music and how acts are making music channelling Nieve's own sound.
The Shropshire-born rock star says she adores how new artists cite her as an inspiration to their music and how acts are making music channelling Nieve's own sound.
Growing up in Albrighton, Nieve started making music in lockdown, in her bedroom, on her dad's guitar.
Performing live sessions on social media, she got our attention on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Introducing. Her journey began with radio plays on her local radio station (ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Shropshire) and even a spot on the Radio 1 Playlist, simply from those first uploads.
Over the years, we've supported Nieve through inviting her in for acoustic sessions in Shrewsbury and the legendary ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Maida Vale Studios and performing on huge ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ stages, from The Lexington in London to The Hundred cricket in Cardiff, Reading & Leeds and Glastonbury.
She's toured all over the country and continent but is still your girl next door, doing her bandmates' hair and playing crazy golf with her family in Telford.
Phillip Stoneman plays Nieve Ella tracks by Grimsby's Jaz Beeson, Church Stretton's Meg Chandler, Forest Park's Ellie Evans, Burry Port's Brook Fox and Telford's Cait Jones.
