More than a hundred foreign-owned shops have been closed by Ghanaian traders in Ghana’s second largest city, Kumasi. They have accused the foreigners, mostly Nigerians, of trading in the country illegally, an allegation the traders deny; Ethiopia and Egypt agree to US mediation to resolve their differences over the Ethiopia dam; and excitement is in the air ahead of Saturday’s rugby World Cup final in Tokyo where England will be playing South Africa.
