US Federal Reserve opens door to interest rate cut

The Federal Reserve left rates on hold for now.

The US central bank has opened the door to an interest rate rise, in a shift in guidance that follows criticism by President Donald Trump.The Federal Reserve left rates on hold, but said uncertainties about the economic outlook could force its hand.

The messaging app Slack will list in New York on Thursday valued at around $17bn. We visit the offices of recruitment firm FouGen, where founder Sandy Idigbe talks us through how they make use of Slack. And Emily Barry of Market Watch explains how the type of direct listing the company is pursuing in New York actually works.

Also on the programme, we look at Facebook's controversial plans to launch its own cryptocurrency, Libra. There have been calls for the project to be delayed until the US Congress has examined it.
