Coronavirus Conversations: Contact-tracing apps
We look at how contact-tracing apps work
Contact-tracing apps are designed to highlight new cases of Covid-19 and prevent their spread. In different countries, they are being applied in different ways and presenting different challenges and issues, such as with privacy. The UK begins its first test of one of these apps today. We look at what is happening around the world, getting reaction and also a conversation between two people, who are developing apps in Germany and in North Macedonia.
Each day on the programme, we invite a medical expert to help us with your questions about the virus. Today, we will be joined by Dr Isaac Bogoch from the University of Toronto. We’ll get his thoughts too on tracing apps.
