Nicolas Sarkozy was sentenced over efforts to obtain funds from late Libyan leader Muammar Gadaffi.
The former French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, has been sentenced to five years in prison after being found guilty of criminal conspiracy. The complex case related to efforts to obtain funds from the late Libyan leader, Muammar Gadaffi. We speak to our reporter who was in court.
The Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, has addressed the United Nations by video-link from Ramallah, after the Trump administration denied him a visa in protest at his promotion of Palestinian statehood.
