The last living hostages held by Hamas return to Israel
Israel has released almost 2,000 Palestinian prisoners and detainees.
Cheering crowds have welcomed several buses carrying Palestinian prisoners and detainees released by Israel in exchange for the 20 living hostages freed by Hamas. The released Palestinians arrived in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. Earlier today the Israeli hostages were taken from Gaza to an Israeli military base. Donald Trump has told the Israeli parliament that the ceasefire deal in Gaza marks the historic dawn of a new Middle East.
We explain today's events, and we speak to relatives of Israeli hostages.
We also hear from Gazans and from relatives of Palestinian prisoners.
