Ukraine's foreign fighters

Military veterans and delivery drivers: who are Ukraine’s foreign fighters?

Since February, thousands of international volunteers have travelled to Ukraine to help in the fight against Russia. We hear about some foreign combatants whose stories have been reported by our language services, with Sunyoung Jeong of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Korean, Benny Lu of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Chinese and Beverly Ochieng of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Monitoring in Nairobi.

Lend me a saying
Our ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Indian language service colleagues in Delhi share their favourite sayings, with Siddhanath Ganu of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Marathi, Sarika Singh of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Hindi, Khushboo Sandhu of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Punjabi, Venkat Prasad G of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Telugu, Saranya Nagarajan of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Tamil and Brijal Shah of ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Gujarati.

A new king for Cameroon's Mankon people
For the Mankon community of Cameroon, a king, or fon, never dies, he simply disappears. Fon Angwafor III 'went missing' in May, and the enthronement of the new king took place last month. The ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Randy Joe Sa'ah attended the extraordinary ceremony and shares his impressions.

Salute Commander
Salam Farmandeh, or Salute Commander, is a new Iranian religious song aimed at children. It's addressed to a historic Shia imam, with the children promising to be his soldiers in the battle for justice. Nooshin from ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Monitoring explains why religious conservatives are turning to music to win young hearts and minds.
