Djodje is a singer, songwriter and producer who was born into a musical family in the island nation of Cabo Verde. His father was the guitarist in Cabo Verde鈥檚 famous traditional music band, Os Tubar玫es (The Sharks), and his mother was a singer and composer from Guinea Bissau on the African mainland.

Djodje is known for his soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics - and for creating his own special smooth blend of RnB and Kizomba, the slow, sensuous musical genre that emerged in Angola in the late 1970s.
