TRIBUTE TO DAVID HEMMINGS
The actor David Hemmings, best-known for his films, Blow Up and Barbarella has died at the age of 62. Writer and broadcaster, Humphrey Carpenter talks about the young David Hemmings and the considerable influence the composer, Benjamin Britten, had on his life and work.

DECOMPOSING FILMS
According to a report published today historic films in the National Film and Television Archive are rotting. The British Film Institute have responded by saying that nothing of importance is in any danger. Francine Stock discusses the problems of decomposing film with Ruth Kelly of the BFI.
