OCEAN CRUISE
Sandi Toksvig
takes to the high seas to explore the watery world of an ocean cruise. The number of passengers from the UK has doubled in the past decade and more than a million travellers took an ocean cruise last year.

Sandi is joined by Robin Maclear, publisher of World Cruising magazine; Iwein Maassen, author of The Contemporary Cruise; Peter Rushton arranger of lecture programmes for cruise lines and Gary Williams, singer and cruise entertainer.

They discuss the latest destinations and favourite ports of call; discover what is converting people to a floating holiday; ask whether passengers are spending the “children’s” inheritance or taking a budget-trip; is it an eco-friendly way of travelling and do passengers really put on a pound in weight a day?
