ALISTAIR MCGOWAN
Alistair McGowan is probably best known to British audiences as the celebrity impersonator of TV'sÌý'Big Impression', in which he won a BAFTA. He has also worked extensively in theatre with starring roles in Endgame, Art, Little Shop of Horrors and most recently The Mikado. He is making his directorial debut in a production of Noel Coward's classic comedy Semi-Monde at theÌý from 7th to 10th April.

HUGH MILES
Ìýis a journalist. In his book Playing Cards in Cairo he tells of how he meets and falls in love with Roda, a beautiful doctor, whilst working in Cairo. She introduces him to Egypt's favourite pastime, the card game tarneeb, to her all-female card circle, and to a previously unseen side of life in Cairo. Playing Cards in Cairo: Mint Tea, Tarneeb and Tales of the City is published by Abacus.

DOREMY VERNON
Doremy Vernon is a former Tiller Girl and actor. She is giving a talk about the history of theÌý at Blackpool's Grand Theatre as part ofÌý an event that will showcase theÌýperformers who have appeared in the resort throughout the years.
Doremy's talk about the history of the Tiller Girls is at Blackpool's Grand Theatre on Sunday 6th April at 11am.ÌýÌý They are keen to trace ex-Tiller Girls from the 1978 reunion show - for more information please email: admissionallclasses@blackpool.gov.uk.

CHRIS DIFFORD
Ìýis the singer/songwriter, formerly of the band Squeeze. He has just released his first solo album for five years, The Last Temptation of Chris. Here the songs tackle topics like being a good father, vasectomy reversal and money - all subjects he knows little about.
The Last Temptation of Chris is out 7th April on Stiff Records. He tours the UK in April and May with Boo Hewerdine.
