PAUL ZENON Ìýis the top TV trickster who is touring the UK with On the Bus with comedians Harry Hill and Lee Mack. It is a fund-raising tour to benefitÌý set up by Paul in 2006 to provide days out and live entertainment for older folk. On the Bus tours from 2nd to 18th June at selected venues across the UK.
CICELY BERRY
Cicely Berry has been the ÌýVoice Director since 1969. Over the last fifty years she has been working alongside some of Britain’s greatest directors and actors and is widely regarded as one of the most significant voice teachers in the world. Her book From Word to Play, a guide to directors in rehearsal, is published by Oberon Books.
JIM RIORDAN
Jim Riordan is currently Professor Emeritus in Russian Studies at the University of Surrey. In his book Comrade Jim he tellsÌýhis true and remarkable story of his time spent in RussiaÌý where he ended up playing football for Spartak Moscow. Comrade Jim: The Spy Who Played for Spartak is published by 4th Estate.
SOWETO KINCH Ìýis the multi-awardwinning jazz saxophonist. He is involved with Ìýan ambitious day-long street festival that will bring world class jazz, hip hop, poetry, dance and theatre to a neglected corner of Birmingham. Once a thriving cultural centre, the Hockley area is now a rundown area with empty, boarded up shops and in this bold artistic statement, Soweto aims to 'reclaim part of the soul of the city'. The Hockley Flyover Project takes place on Saturday 31st May and is a free event.
