MARTIN WAINWRIGHT Martin Wainwright is Northern Editor of . A new exhibition at the Lowry in Salford A Long Exposure celebrates 100 years of The Guardian’s distinctive pictorial style with a unique photography exhibition showing some of the most memorable images from the last century. A Long Exposure: 100 Years of Pictures from Guardian Photographers in Manchester (1908 -2008) is atÌý from 18th October until 1st March 2009.

In her book Belonging Ìýtells of her experience of forced marriage. From a happy life in a children's home, she was reunited with her family, where she was abused and treated like a slave, and sent to Pakistan to be married at the age of 13. She finally escaped and is now a Moss Side councillor and speaks in schools and government conferences on forced marriage. Belonging is published by John Murray.
ALAN ALDRIDGE Ìýis the illustrator who epitomised the design movement of the sixties and seventies, through his work with the Beatles, Jimmy Hendrix, The Who and Elton John. He is here to launch his autobiography and his first UK retrospective at the The Man with Kaleidoscope Eyes from 10th October until January 2009. This also coincides with the re-issue of his most famous illustrated book The Butterfly Ball, published byÌýTemplar Publishing.
RAYMOND BLANC Ìýis the restaurateur whose life and career to date have been utterly dedicated to the search for culinary perfection. In his autobiography A Taste of My Life he looks back on his early life where he was raised on his mother's philosophy of simple, rustic food to his success with his restaurant Le Manoir, near Oxford, which was awarded two Michelin stars even before it opened in 1984. A Taste of My Life is published by Bantam Press.
