PAUL ROSE
is head of the dive team and expedition leader for the new ѿý 2 series . Paul has a long record of leading Greenland ice cap expeditions and for ten years was Base Commander of the Rothera Research Station in Antarctica, in which he was awarded Her Majesty The Queen's Polar Medal. Oceans is currently on ѿý2 for eight weeks. The book to accompany the seriesOceans: exploring the hidden depths of the underwater world is published by ѿý Books. Paul is also chairing the Explore conference from21st to 23rd November.

FRED "SPIDER" ROWE
Fred “Spider” Rowe was the musician Ian Dury's minder, roadie and mentor. He was also the consultant on the new play Hit Me - The Life and Rhymes of Ian Dury by Jeff Merryfield which was a hit at Edinburgh this year and now comes to London. Hit Me - The Life and Rhymes of Ian Dury is at the from 25th November until 14th December.

JAN PIENKOWSKI
is one of the world's most renowned illustrators. He is co-creator of the bestselling Meg and Mog series of children's books with Helen Nicoll and work from his new book The Nutcracker features in the Annual Winter Exhibition. Illustration Cupboard's 13th Annual Winter Exhibition is at The Illustration Gallery, London SW1 until 31st January 2009.The Nutcracker (with David Walser) is published by Puffin.

LESLEY GARRETT
is the soprano, who is known for bringing classical music to a wider audience. Following her success as the Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music, she stars in a major new production of Rogers and Hammerstein's Carousel. Carousel opens in the West End on 2nd December (previews from 22 November) at the Savoy Theatre. Her new album Amazing Grace is out on 24th November on Universal.
