His new CD Songs of the Bushmen is a musical satire of the Bush administration’s leading figures which has been nominated for a Grammy Award.Ìý Songs of the Bushmen is on Courgette Records.

SIR DAVID ATTENBOROUGH
Sir David Attenborough narrates a new six part series on ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ One -Ìý -Ìýwhich captures the Earth's most dramatic and epic wildlife spectacles and the intimate stories of the animals caught up in them. From the flooding of the Okavango Delta, in Africa, to the great summer melt of ice in the Arctic and the massive annual bloom of plankton in the northern Pacific Ocean, each of the six programmes features a different event set in one of the world's most iconic wildernesses. The first episode The Great Melt is onÌýWednesday 11th February, 9-10pm, ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ One.

ALISON STEADMAN
Alison Steadman is one of Britain's best loved actresses and is currently appearing in the revival of Alan Bennett's play Enjoy. Her big break came in Mike Leigh's Abigail's Party, followed by numerous other roles, most notably Pride & Predjudice as Mrs Bennett and most recently, Gavin & Stacey on TV. On stage she appeared in The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, for which she won an Olivier Award. Her films include Shirley Valentine, Clockwise, and Mike Leigh’s Life Is Sweet and Topsy Turvy. Enjoy is at London's Gielgud Theatre from 27th January.

PEN FARTHING
Pen Farthing is a former Royal Marine. In his book One Dog at a Time he tells how, whilst serving in Afghanistan he became appalled by the horrors of local dog fighting in Helmand Province, and decided to help them escape to a better life. Since returning he and his wife Lisa have set upÌý a charity to help relieve the suffering of animals in war torn Afghanistan. One Dog at a Time,published by Ebury Press.
