In 1911 the philandering Prince Francis of Teck died amidst gossip of royal affairs, huge gambling debts and a mysterious love child.

So salacious was his live style that when he died an early death the Prince's will was sealed by Queen Mary to head off the scandal. Now, Document has got its hands on a draft copy of that very piece of paper. Its contents show all too clearly why the Monarch kept it secret.

But this doesn't explain why every royal will since has also been kept from the people....despite rules that such papers should be open to all. Document investigates how a wayward Prince, a fist full of emeralds and a glittering countess could have led to a century of royal secrecy.
