Education has always been of paramount importance in the Chatoor family...

Education, education, education ought to be the motto of the Chatoor family. Under the strict, steady and uncompromising hand of their father, Mr Chatoor senior, they were raised with the highest educational ideals.

The Chatoors are of Asian descent but were born and raised in Trinidad. Mr Chatoor was one of 8 children, and he himself went on to have 7, 4 boys and 3 girls.

Never afraid to take a very active hand in his children's education, Mr Chatoor encouraged his children from the earliest age to learn, learn, learn. If at the time his daughter, Vashti and son, Roger longed for something other than academia, they appear in adult life to hold no grudge against their educationally obsessed father.
