Kilt Man

Ìý Listen again

Tim in his kilt
Tim Stannard in one of his sarongs

Tim is a 58-year old who fits data cables for a living. He is married, with a 30-year-old son and a 29-year-old daughter - nothing unusual in that.

But Tim also wears what many would think of as skirts as he goes about his business.

"There is a growing band of men who are throwing off their chains and wearing kilts and kilt-like clothes," he reveals.

Tim says that he started wearing sarongs three years ago, and explains to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Truths why he prefers the swish of his "skirts" to the cut of a trouser.
