When Tom Edwards first saw footage of Ali Abbas on the telly - he just knew that he had to do something, that it was up to him to help this poor 13 yr old boy who had lost both arms in a bombing that also killed most of his family. Tom wasn't sure what drove him - but drove him it did...40 calls to the Presidential Whitehouse, innumerable calls to the Kuwaiti Embassy, long daily calls to the hospital in Iraq - all to keep tabs on Ali's health - and all to a point of obsessiveness that almost cost him his wife...
