Earthquake Rescue

Listen to the item

Phil Haigh has been working in disaster relief since he was in the forces in 1968. He most recently was in Iran after the Bam earthquake to search for trapped bodies in the rubble.  Phil finds he often has to 'turn off' from the gruesome sights he witnesses - something he's not sure his wife Alison could do.  For this reason he rarely talks about his rescue work at home while Alison worries to herself everytime Phil flys off to yet another dangerous location...
