Barnardo's Boy

Listen to the item

Peter Adebisi spent his entire childhood from the age of one in a Barnardo's home. He was quite rebellious as a young boy and abit of a hooligan - but at sixteen joined the army. This life suited Peter and he ended up in the 7th Paras.

Peter kept in touch with his Jamaican mother - but his Nigerian father had returned to Africa a few years after Peter's birth with no contact since then. At the age of 40 Peter felt a strong urge to track down his father and the subsequent journey turned out to be a revelation in more ways than one... besides finding out he had family - two half-brothers - he also discovered that his father was a crowned prince of the Yoruba tribe - and that he was now next in line!

...from Barnardo's Boy to Prince Peter!
