Listen to the item

When Jan Morland and her husband bought a house in Glastonbury in 1975 they found secreted about the place eleven half gallon jars of brandy and gin, mostly evaporated, the Glastonbury Invasion Committee War Book dated 1944, various forgotten records belonging to Glastonbury Borough Council, and, underneath the floorboards, a love letter, dated May 16th 1944, from Ruby in Fort Laramie, Ohio.
