Judith Kampfner investigates the plight of immigrant maids in Hong Kong
Eager to work and often paid less than the legal minimum wage, immigrant maids can be found in many of Asia's Western expat houses, but human rights campaigners say abuse is widespread. Most will suffer in silence so that they canÌýsend money home orÌýpay off debts to employment agencies. Reporter Judith Kampfner has been haunted by an incident in her childhood.
