TheÌýBritish born chef who is introducing traditional British dishes to India

One of India's greatest exports to Britain has been its food. Indian restaurants scale the heights, and very occasionally plumb the depths, of British culinary experience. But now a British born chef is trying to turn the tables. Manju Malhi, whose parents come from India is doing her best to introduce traditional British dishes to India, with a cookery programme on television there. But guess what? Her 'traditional' British dishes include some that Brits would reckon were Indian -- chicken tikka masala for instance, which few on the sub-continent would recognise as their own.Ìý Shilpa Kannan meetsÌýher on the set of her new tv programme.
